Job Title: Administrator

part-time (16 hours per week / avg)

About Us

About us: The Temagami Community Foundation is dedicated to supporting local initiatives that enhance the quality of life in our community. The Foundation promotes the well-being of all citizens of the Temagami area by supporting cultural, artistic, and educational activities; responsible stewardship of the natural heritage; sustainable economic development; and other charitable projects. We are seeking a part-time Administrator to provide support to the Board of Directors and ensure the smooth operation of our day-to-day activities.

Position Summary

Position Summary: The Administrator will be responsible for managing the foundation’s administrative and financial processes, maintaining communication with members and stakeholders, and serving as the first point of contact for inquiries. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who can work independently and proactively in a hybrid environment. The candidate will be expected to attend at the Foundation’s office in Temagami once a week.

Key Responbilities

  • Track all bills, invoices, and accounting records and liaise with the Foundation’s
    accounting/bookkeeping firm
  • Process payments to vendors and suppliers
  • Maintain and update email lists, ensuring accuracy and compliancy with privacy
    standards
  • Draft, schedule, and deploy communications to members and community stakeholders
  • Respond to general inquiries received by phone, email, or mail
  • Support the Board of Directors with administrative tasks as needed
  • Ensure records and files are organized and up to date

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a non-profit setting
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the Temagami Community Foundation.
