The 4th Gala raised more than $50,000 to support arts, culture, and education in Temagami.

Miigwetch to everyone who attended and supported the TCF at Temagami Comes to the City. It was truly a wonderful night, and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Thanks to your generosity — including our 50/50 winner, Jenny Tang, who graciously donated her prize back to the Temagami Community Foundation — we raised over $50,000, all of which will be reinvested into the Temagami community.

The Foundation kicked off the year’s fundraising with a vibrant and memorable evening in support of arts, culture, and educational initiatives in the Temagami area. Our 4th Temagami Comes to the City Gala welcomed just over 140 guests, many of whom were delighted to reconnect with friends after a long winter.

Luke Potts lead the singing of O’Canada – a moment that filled the room with proud and patriotic voices

The event proved to be a tremendous success, featuring a lively cocktail reception, a delicious three-course meal, and an exciting night of both live and silent auction  bidding.  We  are  grateful   to   past Board Member Wayne Potts for providing wonderful musical entertainment before dinner, and for arranging for his grandson, Luke Potts, to lead the room in a heartfelt singing of O’ Canada—a moment that filled the room with proud and patriotic voices.

Guests also enjoyed a performance by Temagami’s own Indigenous singer-songwriter David Laronde, along with the energetic talents of our auctioneer, Jim McCartney.

The evening was made even more meaningful with warm welcomes from Shelly Moore-Frappier, Temagami First Nations Chief, and Mayor Dan O’Mara, as well as a thoughtful speech from past grant recipient Krista Blais.

We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to our administrator Steph Wagner and our  generous sponsors and donors, whose support made this event possible. Our Platinum Sponsor, Clarke Roller and Rubber Ltd.   (The   Wolstenholme   Family); our Gold Sponsors, Royal LePage, Our Daily Bread – Docks Plus, John and Cindie D’Agostino, Longshot Diamond Drilling Ltd., Temagami Pharmasave, Friends of the Foundation, Ramsay Law Office, and Boatline Bay; our Silver Sponsors Peacock Woodcraft, Country Style/Petro Canada, and K & S Natural Gas & Propane Services. We are further grateful for donations from Assante Wealth Management/Thomson Financial Partners (Eric, Chris and Rob) and Air Canada (Captain James Dow and First Officer Robin Dow).
